Documents

There are four main documents that relate to the Planning and Zoning Department including the Caledonia Charter Township Zoning Ordinance, Zoning Map, Master Plan, and Future Land Use Map.

Zoning ordinances are the local rules/regulations of the community. Zoning is districting of different land uses within the community. Each zone has their own set of density requirements, location, size requirements, building requirements, and more. These are the guiding rules of the community besides federal and state regulations.
